HealthPack is an annual education event designed for professionals in the medical device packaging industry. It consists of a conference, exhibit hall and networking opportunities. Our signature event each year is our live panel of operating room nurses and technicians reviewing and critiquing commercialized medical device packages submitted by our attendees.

HealthPack moves to a different city in the U.S. each year. In recent years, we’ve been in cities such as Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO; New Orleans, LA; Cincinnati, OH; Norfolk, VA; Louisville, KY; Memphis, TN; Albuquerque, NM and San Antonio, TX.

Tuesday, March 5 – Exhibitors set-up from 12:00-4:30 p.m., preconference workshop on ISO 16775 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the general conference room (additional registration fee applies), IoPP Medical Device Packaging Technical Committee meeting from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the general conference room. Exhibit hall open from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Welcome reception from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the exhibit hall.
Wednesday, March 6 – Breakfast buffet and registration from 7:00-8:15 a.m. Conference sessions run from 8:15 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Networking reception in the exhibit hall from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Lunch is served at midday, and the exhibit hall is open at breakfast, during the midmorning and midafternoon breaks, at lunch and during the evening reception. All meals are served in the exhibit hall.
Thursday, March 7 – Breakfast buffet in the exhibit hall from 7:00-8:15 a.m. Conference is in session from 8:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m., with lunch served midday. The exhibit hall is open during breakfast, the morning break and during lunch. Conference wrap-up and the prize drawings are at approximately 3:15 p.m.

Kellen, as the management company for the Institute of Packaging Professionals, has developed a strong synergy between IoPP and HealthPack. The HealthPack program also is developed in cooperation with IoPP’s Medical Device Packaging Technical Committee. The committee organizes and conducts the live nurses and technicians panel, and IoPP subject matter experts in medical device packaging—many of them IoPP Certified Packaging Professionals—are frequent speakers at HealthPack.
Yes. Discounted rooms are available at the Hilton Portland Downtown by calling 503-226-1611 and mentioning you want to make a reservation under “HealthPack.” Or, book your room online. All reservations must be booked by Feb. 8, 2019, to guarantee the discounted room rate of $194 (plus local fees/taxes) per night for single, double, triple and quad room occupancy. The discount deadline is subject to availability under the HealthPack room block. Our room block often sells out in advance of the conference. Please do not wait until the last minute to reserve your room! Reservation requests made after Feb. 8, 2019 will be confirmed on a space available basis at prevailing hotel rates. A credit card guarantee is required to hold your reservation.
Yes. IoPP members receive a $100 discount on their registration. The discount does not apply for IoPP Affiliates.
Yes. A refund (excluding deposit) will be granted up to 90 days prior to the start of the event. Cancellations made 60 days prior to the event will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee (excluding deposit). Cancellations received 30 days or fewer before the event will not receive a refund. For non-exhibiting attendees, registration can be transferred to another individual from your company. See our cancellation policy for more information.
The Hilton Portland Downtown does not provide shuttle service. Estimated costs for transportation options from Portland International Airport (PDX) to the hotel are on our Hotel & Travel Information page.
Yes. Shortly after the conclusion of HealthPack 2019, all attendees will receive an email from HealthPack with a link to the evaluation form for the event. You MUST complete an evaluation to receive the presentations; HealthPack does not honor individual attendee requests to receive the presentation materials directly, without completing the evaluation form. HealthPack does not provide the presentations prior to or during the conference. Upon completing and submitting your evaluation, you will receive a confirmation email from HealthPack that contains a link to all the presentations. The HealthPack conference is for you—please help us make your conference the best value it can be by thoughtfully and completely filling out an evaluation of the event.
